蔡英文總統24日在出訪前的談話中，首先感謝這次出訪專機的空服員，強調明瞭他們心裡背負很大的壓力，一方面心繫在台灣努力爭取權益的夥伴，同時也背負為台灣拚外交、為國家拓展國際空間的責任，讓專機空服員處在這種兩難處境，總統表示她的心情非常沉重。
